College roommate reunion planing--Next week here we come :)

About a week ago I texted my college roommate asking her if she knew this person who emailed my work account. Next week, she and another girl who we lived with are going to connect in Denver and have a few days reconnecting. We are putting a trip together quickly, and the 3 of us having been in the same place for at least 5 years.
I am so excited, nervous, a little overwhelm. I work up this morning at 6:00 am only to have an email saying that the flight price I booked changed and that I need call and verify the price change. It went up $100.00! I went rebooked another flight and canceled the one that jumped so much (CheapOair ain't so cheap, also what booking company delays booking your flight for 5 hours?!, eachotherI didn't even know you could do that). I also learned that my favorite airline "Frontier" was bought-out by Spirit, making me really really nervous about my flight ( I have heard MANY Spirit horror stories) But these little dramas aren't going to hold me back. I am going to go see friends. Friends from a time when we didn't know what we were going to do in our life, learning what it meant to be an adult, making our faiths our own. Friends who haven't seen each other for years and after the first 5 minutes we won't know remember that the years have gone by.

If you remember from a few days ago, I am probs going through a mid-life crisis. I think that being with these people; my people will really help me with it. I am going to tell them everything that is going on in my life and listen to what they have to say, listen to what they are going through.

I miss my people. I have people here. I  love them. But I am different than them. My people think like me. I have my back in a different way because they feel how I feel, they react to things like me. They are really special, and I am so glad to get to spend some time with them.

Also, we came up with the idea to get together two weeks ago, we planned it yesterday, it is happening next Thursday. That is fast. By boss only said yes to me going because he didn't think it would work out. Now he is pissed that I am going-- though my whole trip is only 4 days long, I am sure everything will be fine.
